Barry Williams, better known as Greg of The Brady Bunch, while he was
still a member of the
Actor's Equity Association. Responsibilities
included all casting, equity agent
negotiations, and rehearsal scheduling to facilitate
Mr. William's
brief contractual rehearsal
period. Produced to premiere the Tri-State Center for the Arts*
new home in the Sharon Playhouse, Sharon CN, the
show's success was crucial in terms of
fiscal planning and new audience expansion.
It was the first time Mr. Williams had
attempted the role of Sky Masterson and it
was a critical and financial success. Steve
was able to use
non-traditional casting of the gangster BIG JULE
(pronounced Big Jewel) as a female without
changing one word of the classic script and
score, giving this production a surprising
contemporary twist.
